• Cattlemen's Boot Camp Planned (Sept. 13) — The American Angus Association and The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation will host the next Cattlemen's Boot Camp Nov. 29-30 in Ardmore, Okla.
• American Angus Association to Release Selection Tool for Feed Efficiency (Sept. 2) — New expected progeny difference (EPD) for feed efficiency will be provided on a weekly basis.
• Angus Honors at BIF (Aug. 20) — The Beef Improvement Federation (BIF) honored several Angus breeders and Association staff this summer.
• Angus Juniors Gather in Nashville (Aug. 20) — The 2010 Leaders Engaged in Angus Development (LEAD) Conference themed, "Angus: Live and Loud," brought together 207 Angus participants in Nashville, Tenn.
• The Good Shepherd (Aug. 18) — At the National Junior Angus Show, Temple Grandin talks about how all producers can reshape issues surrounding animal welfare.

• Branded beef company urges GIPSA caution (Aug. 30) — Stakeholders in the U.S. livestock industry gathered on the last Friday of August in Fort Collins, Colo., to debate market access at a USDA/Justice Dept. workshop on competition. Afterward, as many questions as answers remained.
